About Us
Since 2003, MTC has produced and performed
196 high-quality community theater productions for all ages.
Who Are We?
The Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) is an award-winning, non-profit 501(c)(3)community theater organization where the community can perform theater together. Currently, we are celebrating our 20th Season.
Vision Statement:
To spark the confidence and creativity of local families, artists, and valued volunteers.
Mission Statement:
We offer a safe, diverse space for the practice and pleasure of all aspects of theatrical production.
MTC specifically endeavors to:
Educate: Provide experiential education and fundamental training to young people pursuing theatrical professions and passions.
Include: Prioritize inclusivity for people of all ages, but especially children and families, to have fun participating in community theater together.
Inspire: Promote the theater experience by coordinating group trips to local (South Jersey), regional (Philadelphia), and national (New York) productions.
Transform: Uplift the lives of participants regardless of background, disabilities, or finances.
A Short History:
Originally starting with only one "Main Stage" summer musical in 2003; the typical MTC season averages 15 productions year-round. Subsequent years added an award-winning children's summer camp, multiple yearly children's productions, adult-only productions, an annual "Extrava-Gala", and a 'Rising Stage' for 17 to 29-year-olds. MTC also hosts an educational Performing Arts Studio, providing group instruction and individual lessons.
