September: 10 (dance assessment), 17, 24; October: 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; November: 5, 12, 19 (Parent Observation Day)
January: 21, 28; February 4, 11, 18, 25; March 4, 18, 25; April 1, 8, 22, 29;  May 5,Tech Rehearsal; May 6 Dress Rehearsal

Fee: $35 Registration Fee per person
        $12.50 / class / person for the first two classes
        $ 6.25 / class / person for all additional classes

There are 15 total classes for the Winter/Spring Session. Payments have been updated to reflect the 15 classes.

Please attend the time slot you think your child belongs in and Miss Jody will assess their dance skills. 

At this time we are collecting payment for just 10 Fall Session Studio Classes.

One Time Registration Fee: $45

    One Class:       $187.50 ($187.50 class fee ($12.50/class x 15 classes)
    Two Classes:   $375.00 ($187.50 * 2)
    Three Classes: $468.75 ($375 + $93.75 (half price)
    Four Classes:   $562.50 ($468.75 + $93.75) 
    Five Classes:   $656.25 ($562.50 + $93.75)
    Six Classes:     $750.00  ($656.25 + $93.75)
 


Beginner / Advanced Beginner Tap (approximate ages 5 – 10)
Tap dancing is a form of dance featured in many Broadway shows. The students will learn and review the basics of tap from a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises and combinations will focus on building coordination, terminology, retention, rhythm, showmanship and musicality. The class emphasis is on developing proper tap technique, producing clear tap sounds, appropriate speed; instilling a strong foundation for the beginner tapper and the advanced beginner who has some previous training. So come join us and learn how to shuffle, flap and ball change.

Intermediate/Advanced Tap (approximate ages 10 & up)
For the more experienced tap dancer, the basics will be put together to develop rhythm, style and sound. Curriculum will become increasingly more complex and intricate and basics will be reviewed and drilled for technique. Exercises and combinations will focus on expanding sound clarity, coordination, terminology, retention, showmanship and musicality while maintaining proper tap technique, and appropriate speed. The students will learn combinations from a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap using various types of music. Improvisation will be introduce to challenge the dancers. Dancers should have been been enrolled in Beginner Tap for approximately 2 -3 years or by recommendation of the dance teacher. Enrollment in this level in upon approval of the dance teacher.

Beginner/Advanced Beginner Musical Theater Dance (approximate ages 5-10)
Beginner/Advanced Musical Theater Dance class will focus on learning proper dance technique and the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Classes will be based on ballet technique layered with Broadway style jazz technique and a proper warm-up and stretches to improve flexibility, Combinations will focus on building coordination, retention, rhythm, showmanship and musicality. We will also focus on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions. This class is ideal for the beginner or the advanced beginner with some previous training.

Intermediate Musical Theater Dance (approximate ages 10 - 13)

We will also focus on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions. Students will be introduced to some Contemporary combinations which is a dance form of dance that emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics to tell a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract and combines techniques and skills from ballet and jazz. This class is ideal for the intermediate dancer with approximately 2 – 3 years of previous training or by recommendation of the dance teacher. Enrollment in this level in upon approval of the dance teacher.

Advanced Musical Theater Dance (approximate ages 13 & up)
Advanced Musical Theater Dance class will focus on advanced dance technique and the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Classes will be based on Broadway style jazz technique and a proper warm-up and stretches to improve a dancer's range of motion, enhance muscle flexibility, increase their level of core muscle strength, and increase their awareness of their own body's potential as it connects to expression through movement. Combinations will become increasingly more complex and intricate and will focus on expanding coordination, retention, rhythm, showmanship and musicality. We will also focus on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions. Students will be introduced to some Contemporary combinations which is a dance form of dance that emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics to tell a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract and combines techniques and skills from ballet and jazz. This class is ideal for the advanced dancer with approximately 3 – 4 years of previous training or by recommendation of the dance teacher. Enrollment in this level in upon approval of the dance teacher.

Ballet (approximate ages 11 & up)
This class is designed for the intermediate and advanced level dancers with previous dance experience only. Students will have an introduction to ballet with beginning development of ballet concepts including turn out, positions of the feet, proper body alignment, and introductory movement vocabulary. Warm-up and stretches will focus on building the strength, flexibility and control needed to execute ballet moves. Proper ballet technique is critical in all forms of dance. Ballet helps dancers develop grace, balance, strength and flexibility. This class will also introduce the students to the concept of Lyrical and Contemporary which is a dance form of dance that emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics to tell a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract and combines techniques and skills from ballet and jazz. This class is ideal for the intermediate/advanced dancer with approximately 2 – 3 years of previous training or by recommendation of the dance teacher. Enrollment in this level in upon approval of the dance teacher.

Group Voice
This class is for both beginners and those with some experience. Students will learn in a fun and relaxed environment with other children having the same musical interest. Students will learn proper singing techniques including: breath control, diction, phrasing, and basic note and rhythm reading. Students will learn vocal exercises that will help them strengthen and develop their vocal tone. The group will be working on small ensemble pieces and possibly some featured solo opportunities to be performed in the session-ending recital on Saturday, May 6, 2016.

Group Acting
Would you like to audition better or feel more comfortable on-stage? Do you need more confidence when you have to speak in public, in school, or at work? If yes, join our Group Acting Class! You will learn acting techniques, receive audition coaching, play 'improv' games, work on team-building skills, and create new scenes (our infamous skits!) from scratch. Many of our students take this class again and again, but we'll make room for you!
